ENROLLMENT FOR 2019-20 IS OPEN!

Founded in 1961, The Children’s Jewish Education Group (CJEG) is a cooperative school developed and run by parents. We are a welcoming, relaxed and diverse group for those families looking for an alternative to Temple-Based Hebrew School. CJEG has a wide range of members, most of which are families who live throughout Westchester and southern Connecticut. The school provides a way for children to connect with their Jewish heritage, and to explore the basic tenets, values, culture, and traditions of the Jewish faith. Come for a visit, we are accepting students for the 2019-20 School Year!

CJEG HAS A NEW BEAUTIFUL HOME!

After many years at the SUNY-Purchase location, our school is moving to the beautifully restored mansion, at the Crawford Park Community Center, located in Crawford Park at 122 N. Ridge St., Rye Brook, NY 10573.

CJEG HIGH HOLIDAY SERVICES

CJEG will be holding our spiritually moving, and family-friendly, High Holiday services again this year, officiated by Charlie Rosenthal.  Charlie has led our services for 30+ years.  Our services are very warm and participatory and feature music and singing by Sam and Nick Kline, Allison and Katy Lange, and  Jeff Ebers playing the piano.  This year Rosh Hashanah services will be held on Monday, September 30 at 11 am, at the Community Unitarian Universalist Congregation, located at 468 Rosedale Avenue, White Plains, NY 10605.   Kol Nidre and Yom Kippur services will be held at the new home of our school, The Mansion at Crawford Park, located at 122 N. Ridge St, Rye Brook, NY 10573.  The Kol Nidre service is on October 8, at 7 pm, and the Yom Kippur service is on October 9 at 4:30 pm.   All services run between 1:30 – 2 hours long.  Please come join us and celebrate the new year with our family. Click here to get the flyer.
